History Of Nairaland
Nairaland was founded by a Nigerian Internet entrepreneur Seun Osewa on the 8th of March 2005. Nairaland forum was created with the aim of allowing internet users to interact with each other and discuss topics thereby helping each other to solve certain problems.
Seun Osewa single handily ran the forum until the work was too much for him to handle alone and opted for the use of moderators to keep the forum going
Nairaland went down on the 22nd of June 2014 due to a successful hack attempt that made away with posts and registration data. It was back online again after three days using the recovered data from their last backup.

According to Alexa Internet, Nairaland ranks as the 788th most visited site in the world and the 6th most visited in Nigeria as of April 2020.
Nairaland has over a 2.64million registered users and over 6.19 million topics already created on its users and over.
How To Post On Nairaland
1. Go down to the bottom part of the website
2.Click on the search button and type in the topic you want to discuss. the click search.
3. Then click on create new.
Seun Osewa Success Story
Seun Osewa founded Nairaland after he couldn't afford to start a web hosting company. While in the journey of making the Nairaland known, he went through a lot.
There was more problematic for him when the website was hacked in 2014. It will only take hard work, patience and God's grace to go through pains and problems without giving up. so I will like to say a big kudos to the man of Vision Seun Osewa
