If you can remember, rudeboy was one of the music duo consisting of two brothers Paul Okoye and Peter Okoye before they separated in 2017 because of some issues.

Ever since then, fans have waited and prayed for them to come back together but rather the two decided to stay as Rudeboy(Paul Okoye) and Mr. P(Peter Okoye).

After the outbreak of the shocking divorce news on social media. Fans have been asking why? What will make them break up after 7 years of marriage?

In case you don't know, Paul Okoye and his wife Anita Okoye have been married for 7 years but have known each other for more than 10 years. Their marriage is blessed with 3 kids

Brief Biography Of Anita Okoye

Anita Okoye is a Nigerian entrepreneur, lawyer, and author who is married to paul Okoye better know as Rudeboy. She hails from Anambra State in the southeastern part of Nigeria. 

Anita is a graduate of law from the University of Abuja where she met Rudeboy and they got married in 2014

She currently resides in the United State of America where she is working on her master's degree.

Not so long ago, Paul Okoye took to his Instagram page to celebrate his wife on their wedding anniversary. He captioned it "You are the best gift in my life". That still brings us to the question " Why did she file for a divorce?"

According to the leaked court documents, she filed for a divorce over irreconcilable differences. What are irreconcilable Differences? Irreconcilable Differences according to Wikipedia are any sort of differences between two parties that either cannot or will not be changed can be considered irreconcilable differences. The differences could be that of a difference in character, personality, belief, or some other personality traits.

When filing for a divorce, the spouse may either file for a "Fault" or "no-fault".

No-Fault Divorce

A no-fault divorce explains a type of divorce where the spouse filing for the divorce did not state any fault on the part of the other spouse. The most common ground for a no-fault divorce is "irreconcilable difference"

Fault Divorce

A fault divorce is a type of divorce where the spouse filing the divorce stated the reason or the fault of the other spouse he/she is filing the divorce against. Some of the common reasons can be Adultery, caused emotional or physical pain, etc

Another significant difference between No-fault divorce and fault divorce is that in Non-fault the spouse that filed for the divorce is required to stay away from the other spouse for a specific period of time before the filing

If you just read the difference I stated above you will find out that the divorce between rudeboy and his wife is a no-fault divorce that is Rudeboy wasn't accused of any wrongdoing.

According to the leaked court documents, Anita Okoye requested monthly spouse support of fifteen thousand dollars($15,000) which is approximately 7.8M in naira. She stated that the money will be for the general welfare, education, and the health of their three children.

Despite that the divorce papers have gone viral on all social media platforms, Rudeboy's counsel made it known that he has not received any official briefing on the case.

He said in an interview with E Nigeria Newspaper;

I don't think this subject is worth breaking a sweat on since as I talk with you, I'm yet to receive a brief touching the news already in circulation. if the story is real, I would have been briefed by now and this is devoid of sentiments

When Rudeboy was asked to talk on the case, here is what he said;

"You people should stop calling me about this shit"

Messages sent to Rudeboy's wife were also still unanswered
